Latino Leadership Northwest’s mission to uplift youth goes beyond the conference. We create opportunities for young professionals to thrive, focusing on holistic, community-driven pathways that span higher education and top technical careers. LLNW strengthens your professional journey by enhancing your educational resources, building community connections, and fostering valuable partnerships. Through career exploration and mentorship, we empower the next generation of leaders to succeed and make an impact.
Mariposa Fellowship
The Mariposa Fellowship is a paid leadership program for high school youth in Southwest Washington, designed to empower aspiring Latine leaders through hands-on training, mentorship, and community engagement. Fellows develop skills to support their educational and career goals while advancing Latino Leadership NW’s mission of investing in youth leadership.
Rooted in shared power and community-driven solutions, the Fellowship offers real-world experience and strong support from LLNW staff and partners. Fellows contribute directly to their communities, embodying the Mariposa effect, a ripple of positive change created when youth are equipped to lead. This culturally responsive program thrives through partnerships with local schools, Washington State University, and a broad network of community collaborators across Southwest Washington.

Colibri Internship
The Colibrí Internship offers paid professional internships designed to prepare college students for career success. Through experiential learning, structured leadership development, and mentorship, interns gain access to career pathways while contributing meaningfully to their communities.
The program empowers interns to discover their strengths, amplify their voices, and translate leadership potential into tangible action. By fostering personal growth, cultural awareness, and community engagement, Colibrí equips interns to become confident, ethical leaders who champion equity, drive sustainable change, and contribute to a thriving, inclusive Southwest Washington.

Undocumented Professionals
UndocuProfessionals provide opportunities both paid and unpaid for undocumented (non-DACA), DACA, and TPS students. They also developed a Mentorship Program that aims to empower undocumented youth by bringing professionals into the community to connect with them. The Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) is a non-profit committed to the employment, development, and advancement of Latino professionals. HACE works with employers to help them develop and retain Latino and diverse professionals. They help Latinos succeed in their journey by providing professional development, resources, and networks.
