Participants are required to meet in person twice a month, and actively participate in the program's expectations. *Participation is limited to Seattle residents.

Free Clinic of Southwest Washington

4100 Plomondon St Vancouver, WA 98661

The Vancouver Clinic an organization dedicated to providing access to healthcare opportunities for community members who are not able to acquire them alone, is a perfect fit for those interested in helping within a medical setting! Not only do volunteers acquire the opportunity to further their experience within a medical environment, but also provide their community with the resources required to live a healthy, and fulfilling life. As of now, volunteer openings include both Nonclinical and Clinical volunteer roles, such as Interpreters, Dental Hygienists and Assistants, Medical Providers, and Nurses. Schedules are flexible to your availability, and capacity. As per usual, individuals hoping to volunteer must meet a set of requirements, and provide necessary documentation.

Watershed Alliance of Southwest Washington

Watershed Alliance PO Box 177, Vancouver, WA 98666

The education and engagement of community members in the continuous restoration and protection of waterways and natural areas is the driving force behind the organization. Planned events which revolve around the planting of trees, removal of invasive plants in public green spaces and river litter clean ups are just a few of the opportunities community members are able to partake in to contribute to this important mission. It is an overall fun, hands-on experience for the whole family, friend groups, work groups or meeting new friends. Childrens, teens, and adults are encouraged to sign-up online through their website!

The Clark County Food Bank has dedicated years to providing individuals of its community with the resources necessary to acquire nutrition that they struggle to acquire by themselves. Managing over eight million pounds of food each year, providing over 6.7 million meals to individuals and families experiencing hunger, this organization is always happy to accept additional helping hands from willing community members. Much like many of the organizations we have highlighted, volunteer opportunities are plenty, and there is something for everyone. Now that summer is upon us, help is needed in maintaining their primary source of vegetation, Heritage Farm. Additionally, working to both sort food donations and distribute, as well as leading workshops educating others in skills regarding nutrition, are all great opportunities to get involved and make a positive change! Check out their website to sign up!

We hope some of these keep you busy this summer and goodluck on your volunteer journey!
